Cranchi Yachts is an Italian shipyard, an independent family business since 1870. We design and build our yachts in Piantedo, in the province of Sondrio, in some of the most advanced facilities in Europe. 

Within our production departments we are looking for a composite materials operative to help build hulls and GRP components. 

Key responsibilities 

• Machine and hand lamination of advanced composite materials (glass, carbon and aramid fibres) to produce hulls, superstructures, flybridges and various components; 

• Working with robots for glass fibre/resin spray-up, programmed offline; 

• Working in temperature- and humidity-controlled, air-conditioned environments to ensure the quality of the finished parts. 

Requirements 

Education 

• We also welcome candidates with no experience, to be trained in our Academy. 

Skills 

• Manual skill and precision; 

• Confidence with digital tools: on the shop floor, work is supported by the use of tablets; 

• Compliance with procedures and safety regulations.

Within our production departments we are looking for an assembly operative to fit components and fittings on board the boats. 

Key responsibilities 

• Fitting and installing components and fittings on board; 

• Mechanical assembly to technical drawings and specifications; 

• Checking correct assembly and the quality of the work. 

Requirements 

Education 

• Experience in industrial assembly or fitting is preferred. 

Skills 

• Ability to read technical drawings and related instructions; 

• Use of a tablet throughout the production cycle; 

• Manual skill and an eye for detail.

Key responsibilities 

• Fitting and installing interior furniture and finishes on board; 

• Assembling furniture, panelling and fittings to the design specifications; 

• Quality control of finishes and joints. 

Requirements 

Education 

• Experience in joinery, fit-out or furniture-making is preferred. 

Skills 

• Manual skill and care for detail; 

• Confidence with digital tools: on the shop floor, work is supported by the use of tablets; 

• Precision in assembly.

We are looking for an administrative clerk to join our Administration Office, working in accounts receivable and payable. You will handle both the sales and purchase ledgers, working closely with departments across the company. 

Key responsibilities 

• Accounts receivable: issuing invoices and delivery notes, day-book entries and bank reconciliations; 

• Accounts payable: issuing purchase orders, checking delivery notes and managing documentation. 

Requirements 

Education 

• A degree in economics or business, including recent graduates; for the accounts payable area, technical or engineering backgrounds will also be considered; candidates without a degree but with at least 2 years’ experience in the role are also welcome. 

Skills 

• Accuracy, organisational ability and attention to detail; 

• Familiarity with the main accounting software packages, preferably GEA.

For our Research & Design Centre (Centro Studi) we are looking for a junior profile: an undergraduate or graduate in Yacht or Naval Engineering, ideally with some initial experience. We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in innovation and a passion for boating, keen to grow within a highly automated industrial environment. 

Key responsibilities 

• Supporting the design work of the Research & Design Centre using 2D/3D software; 

• Working with the technical team on the development and engineering of new designs. 

Requirements 

Education 

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Yacht or Naval Engineering. 

Skills 

• An aptitude for problem-solving and teamwork.

Within our production departments we are looking for a bodywork finisher for the mouldings, responsible for the aesthetic quality of the boats’ surfaces. 

Key responsibilities 

• Preparing and finishing the surfaces of the mouldings; 

• Filling, sanding and fairing to produce surfaces ready for painting; 

• Applying primers and finishes and checking the uniformity of the result; 

• Final inspection and touch-ups on cosmetic details. 

Requirements 

Education 

• Experience in bodywork (marine or automotive) or finishing work is preferred. 

Skills 

• Manual skill and precision; 

• Use of a tablet throughout the production cycle; 

• An eye for cosmetic detail.
